How to buy indoor lightings?
November 11th, 2009 by callisterHow hard is it to pick a lamp or something similar for your home lightings? At first, I thought so too but then again, I’m wrong. I always thought that as long as the lamp looks good, fits my taste and functions well, then it’s all good. But then again, I’m wrong. As simple as it looks, buying an indoor lighting is not as simple as you think. There are a lot of things to consider before you decided to buy an indoor lighting, be it a desk lamp, ceiling lamps, wall fixed lamps, chandeliers and other types of lamps.
A lamp can do wonders for your room. A lamp can give you just the right amount of light exposure you want, add color to the room, expressing feelings like romantic feeling and add warmth to a room. Lamps come in many sizes and shapes. Choosing a wrong lamp will make the mood of the room worse than before. First you need to decide on which lamp type that you need. If you just need a lamp for a temporary use before moving houses or if you’re the type of person who relocates a lot, you might want to avoid lamps that are need to be fixed on the walls. If you have small kids who often break things in the house, you might want to avoid the expensive lamps that are too fragile like the lamps with a vase as the base.
Apart from deciding which lamp suits you the best, you also need to know the technical specifications for the lamp too. Things that you need to look for are the wattage; voltage, brightness and the average of the light bulb will last on regular usage. You also need to know what are the types of light bulbs that are compatible with the lamp; like incandescent light bulbs, fluorescent bulbs and halogen. Different type of bulbs provides different lightings and this is especially important when looking for a desk lamp.
